imperialism in the 20th century

Imperialism is when a dominate country take over another country and take control of it and create a unequal economic, cultural, and territorial relationship, usually between states or empires. This cartoon is illustrating imperialism during the 20th century by the United States.  In the drawing u can see three different cultures Spanish, Indian, and African, they are rejoicing for the Fourth of July Independence Day. What makes this illustration so controversial is seeing the places the United States imperialized celebrating not their home land but the dominate land  basically stripped them of their culture. In the illustration they also use a bit of sarcasm because the three cultures are holding hands in joy when in reality theres confusion.
